2015 edition on track for continued growth

The Dubai Airshow 2015 is still over a year away yet signs are already there that the next edition could eclipse its record breaking 2013 show.

Firmly established as a major event in the aerospace calendar, the Dubai Airshow, now in its 28th year, brings together the major players in all sectors of the industry in a purpose – built venue at Dubai World Central from 8-12 November 2015. The show benefits from its location as a central industry hub, with over two-thirds of the world’s population within eight hours flying time of the UAE.

Exhibitors at the Dubai Airshow range from both established and developing markets giving unparalleled access to these markets for all attendees. An incredible number of exhibitors have already committed to this must attend event, from returning exhibitors such as industry giants Boeing and Airbus and many companies, such as Bell Helicopters, Alpha Star, Safat and Tawazan have increased their footprints for 2015.

Michele van Akelijen, Managing Director of organisers F&E Aerospace, says, “The region offers huge potential for overseas entrants – for example, Middle East airlines are currently growing at twice the industry average. In addition, the Dubai Airshow will again feature several country pavilions, including Australia, Canada, France, Turkey, the UK and the ever popular U.S. Pavilion, a dedicated area offering US based exhibitors the opportunity to reach the Middle East market.

The Dubai Airshow is the most effective the way to do business in the Middle East, with the region’s emphasis on face –to-face business culture, the networking value is immeasurable. There are also a range of platforms for the discussion of key issues or aspects of the industry, such as Gulf Aviation Training Event (GATE) which places specific focus on aviation training needs.

Organised under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Airshow is held in co-operation with Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports and the UAE Armed Forces.
