HMG Aerospace’s IFEC Pavilion to showcase innovations in Dubai

As passenger experience, and in particular, inflight entertainment and connectivity gain increasing importance in the global aircraft interiors arena, Aircraft Interiors Middle East will again feature the IFEC Pavilion dedicated to the growing sector. Taking place from February 2-3 2015 in Dubai World Trade Centre, AIME provides the ideal platform for interiors suppliers, providers and buyers to network and establish new relationships in the Middle East.

AIME organisers F&E Aerospace will again partner with HMG Aerospace, publishers of Inflight, to create a feature pavilion where exhibitors and visitors can learn about the latest technologies and trends in inflight entertainment and connectivity.

“IFEC is a key part of the airline experience,” agrees Michele van Akelijen, Managing Director of F&E Aerospace, “Previous editions of AIME demonstrated the popularity of the IFEC Pavilion, and we are pleased to be partnering with HMG Aerospace to bring this feature back for AIME 2015 along with the associated workshop and awards ceremony.”

With more and more airlines offering inflight Wi-Fi and the exponential passenger increase in personal electronic devices, plus the growing acceptance of – and reliance on – connectivity and PED applications in all areas of life, the time has never been better for airlines to redesign their offerings.

The 9th annual ‘Passenger IT trends survey’ published by SITA has revealed that passengers are more tech-savvy than ever, with many wanting to make use of yet more mobile services from gate-to-gate: almost all of the passengers surveyed carry a smartphone, tablet or laptop on board.

Key names in the market are divided on where airlines efforts should be focused, with some arguing that wireless entertainment will become the new norm, and that investment should focus on inflight Wi-Fi and connectivity to support this shift. In the Middle East, however, carriers are fully vested in embedded IFEC and are setting a new standard for passengers as a result.

The only dedicated aircraft interiors event in the Middle East, AIME showcases the full complement of aircraft interiors sectors, from IFEC to Aircraft Interior Design, Refurbishment, Cabin Equipment and Management Systems to seating and all those in between.

Co-located with MRO Middle East, AIME 2015 is a must attend event delivering the latest innovations in aircraft interiors. To book your space, email
